I am new to the forum and I have been having the same issue as a lot of people it seems. i have used CloneDVD and AnyDVD for about 3 years and have never encountered so many problems as I have in the last few months. Message "source data too large" popped up, usually about 65-75% into completion.

I am not a pro at doing any of this, I basically taught myself how to burn and SlySoft has up to now been very easy to use. Before posting this, I read the various threads and followed the advice left by other posters (i.e. using the latest beta version of both CloneDVD and AnyDVD, changing the write speed from maximum-which used to always work for me-to 8X speed, and also using dvd-5 near the quality bar) Unfortunately, this didn't fix my problem.

I was surprised to see that some people say NOT to use Memorex DVD+R 16X 4.7GB 120 min as I have never had issues with this media in terms of writing to it or with playback. I don't have the most advanced computer (it's a 3 year old HP Media Center PC m7265c) My DVD writer is a Lite-On DVDRW SHW-160P6S rev.PS0C, again not the most advanced but has been fine for my purpose. I only use region 1 DVD and the Lite-On setting is for region 1.

this is the media code that I got from DVD Identifier

I was surprised to see that some people say NOT to use Memorex DVD+R 16X 4.7GB 120 min

Yes, that's unreliable blank media. And when you use junk you should expect problems. Memorex doesn't make it's own blank media and outsources to the lowest bidder.

1. Use Taiyo Yuden (not Valueline) or Verbatim Datalife Plus blank media

If you're in the U.S., you can visit www.supermediastore.com or newegg.com (for Verbatim)

But let's skip this step for now.

Summary for drive F: (AnyDVD 6.5.8.9)

2. Update Anydvd to 6.5.9.6 beta: click http://forum.slysoft.com/showpost.php?p=225629&postcount=1

IDE-DVD DROM6216 HD08

That appears to be an oem Philips dvd-rom drive, possibly bundled with an HP computer.

3. Provide an Anydvd .zip log file using your burner

4. Provide the Clonedvd log file after Clonedvd has finished--or after you receive an error message.

i)In the white area under the tab labelled "Log", right click and select "save as".
ii)Select where you want to save the log, and then save it.
iii) The log will be a .txt file. Zip it up using Winzip or another program. If the text file is small enough, you should be able to upload it anyway. Otherwise, use Winzip.
iv) When replying or posting in the Slysoft forums, look for the icon that looks like
attach.gif
(in other words, look for the paperclip after clicking "quote" or when creating a new thread)
v) If you don't see that paperclip icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
vi) A small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't please ensure your browser is enabled to allow pop-ups from the Slysoft forums)
vii) Click the "Browse" button, and locate and select the .zip file (or .txt file) that you created.
viii) click "upload"
ix) Close the window. When you submit reply, or submit a new thread, the .zip file will be attached automatically for us to take a look at
