Yes, I'm sure you are. :bang:

gee, thanks for the help and the points!

other than running the .exe, how do you suggest i install the program?

It would seem your installation is screwed up, would it not? One would think uninstalling it and reinstalling it would be the first thing to try if you have part of the program MISSING.

you would think, though i wasnt aware that i needed to provide level 1 tech support details.

obviously i have uninstalled and reintalled, in addition, used the latest version of the software - and i still get the error with this title.

not any other title mind you and this is my 2nd copy of this title to ensure it wasnt the disc itself.

but i did get the pm regarding the .zip log , so i will provide that and the other details you request

You weren't aware that you needed to provide information on what you've already tried in order for us to not waste our time? Yea, anyway, I've moved this to its own thread.

That was me. For clarity, I warned you, not SamuriHL. I didn't issue infraction points.

It looks like AnyDVD cannot access the file "bdphash.bin" in the AnyDVD program directory.

The question is - is it there? Please check.

If it is there, can you check if any anti virus or anti spyware tool might block access?
If it isn't, please reinstall AnyDVD with all anti virus / spyware tools disabled.

bdphash.bin is there, currently not blocked by either spyware nor antivirus

Well, I'm clueless...
Do other Blu-ray discs *with* BD+ protection exhibit the same problem? They should, if AnyDVD cannot access the file for whatever reason.

not a single issue from any other BD+ disc's, this is the only one so far.

any other problem discs were already identified by someone else and fixed with the latest beta release.

i even changed the association of .bin files to see if that cleared up the issue = no go.

and AnyDVD has "full control"

I see avgrsstx.dll (AVG?) loaded in the AnyDVD process address space. I don't know if this is the cause, but I wonder what it is doing.

just for giggles - from task manager i terminated AVG and AdAware and i get the same error.

would you like that log file also?

oh - and i have 1.75TB of Bluray on a media server

Well, that doesn't prevent their hooking dlls from being loaded...

oh - and i have 1.75TB of Bluray on a media server
... but this doesn't explain why other discs (BD+ protected) work fine.

Sorry, no idea.

thanks guys,

before i use filemon, i have some time today, i will uninstall: avg, adaware and anydvd

then install anydvd only and give it a try.

so i got tired of dealing with the issue and just reimaged the box, installed AnyDVD before anything else and the error was gone!

thanks for all your help!
