I'm using AnyDVD and CloneDVD2.

When I upload the movie 'Becoming Jane' ... the program(CloneDVD2) allows me to upload it all the way, but, instead of opening the DVD drive for me when it's time to insert a blank disc, a message pops up that says... 'Please insert a recordable media into drive D', along with a 'cancel' and 'eject' buttons. The 'Eject' button will not eject the disc... infact, nothing happens when I click on "Eject".

I finally have to just turn my computer off and then back on to remove the original movie or get the DVD drive to open. But, I was never able to record the movie.

AnyDVD is running.

You have problematic filters install and need to be removed. Bear in mind which ever program installs them they won’t work anymore.

DRVMCDB (System32\Drivers\DRVMCDB.SYS), Version: 3.30.4.0 (1.0.0.1)
Company: Sonic Solutions
Copyright: Copyright © Sonic Solutions
Description: Device Driver
FileVersion: 3.30.04a

DLACDBHM (System32\Drivers\DLACDBHM.SYS), Version: 5.20.1.0 (1.0.0.1)
Company: Sonic Solutions
Copyright: Copyright © 2004 Sonic Solutions
Description: Shared Driver Component
FileVersion: 5.20.01a

To remove them follow instructions

1.
i) Create a backup of your registry: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756

ii) Download imgburn. It's a free program: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
(it's also an excellent program)

iii) Go to Tools > Filter Driver Load Order.

Select "DRVMCDB". Click "remove selected filter".
Select "DLACDBHM". Click "remove selected filter".

Click "ok".

2.

Reboot, once done create another log file and post it.

Keep in mind that the programs that installed those filters may no longer function properly.

3
Try burning again

Summary for drive D: (AnyDVD 6.5.1.1)

4. Update Anydvd: click http://forum.slysoft.com/showpost.php?p=164543&postcount=1

5. Update your drive's firmware: click http://support.necam.com/Optical/downloads/FlashFirmware/

6. What blank media are you using? Specify a) brand name b)type (-R, +R, -RW, +RW, RAM, DL, etc.) c)media code, d) capacity/size, e) batch codes/serial codes (often found printed on the inner plastic hub of the blank disc), and f)country (factory information would be great as well, if possible) where the media was made (look on the physical packaging; do not rely on programs to accurately give you this information).

If you don't know how to obtain media codes, you may find the following programs useful:

http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com and http://www.dvdinfopro.com/

7. At what speed are you attempting to burn your blank media?

Thank you HAWK and WEBSLINGER for your help ... i'm going to apply it now to see what happens. Yes, I own the movie BECOMING JANE.

The media I'm trying to burn to is MEMOREX DVD+R, recordable 16X, 4.7GB, 120 min. That's all the info I have on it as I threw away the paper insert.

:)

Well, I've decided I'm just not savy enough to figure this out. I'm not sure I backed the system up ... but I tried. And, then I could never find the DRVMCDB and DLACDBHM filters.

Could not find Sonic Solutions program, instead, there is one named InterActual, which I think is the Sonic Solutions.... but still couldn't figure out what to do next. Should I just remove the InterActual program?

This is junk. Avoid

Use Taiyo Yuden (not valueline), Verbatim Datalife Plus, Maxell Plus, or Maxell Broadcast Quality

It's not

Thank you again! I'll give it another whirl!!! :bang:

I know I'm slower than molasses, but hey, you guys need comic relief!! :)

You should definitely remove InterActual player from your computer. These programs are created by movie studios to hinder copying and may give trouble when backup. There are better player which can be obtain on trial basis.

If I were you I would remove them

You guys are WIZARDS!! Thank you!! YOU:rock: It worked!!

It recorded all the way through and ejected perfectly!

I haven't removed InterActual yet, but I will! You're AWESOME!!
