First, please accept my deepest appreciation for amazing products and awesome support. AnyDVD has been through probably no less than 800 DVDs for me over the years, and CloneDVD has spit out easily that many. This is by far the best software purchase I've ever made.

Blitz (2011) plays fine in my home theater, in Windows Media Player, etc. The disc is visually fine. When I try to load it up in CloneDVD2 (2.9.3.0), I get the "rebuilding DVD structure" progress bar, followed by "invalid block start code" [PS 10 VOBU 4 116 42 PictureReader]. This happens on the Title Configuration screen.

It loads without error in AnyDVD (6.8.5.0) in both DVD+/-RWs.

I can't tell if the movie contains a new type of structural protection or if it's bad media. I attached AnyDVD log files from a Sony AD-7261S-0B (D:) and an LG GH22NS50 (E:) with retail firmware. Hopefully somebody here make heads or tails of this.

Thanks in advance!

Both sets of log show read errors:

2.98s: read sectors failed, sense 3:2:0
2.98s: tries 2 retry 2238804 to 2238805
3.84s: read sectors failed, sense 3:2:0
3.84s: tries 1 retry 2238804 to 2238805
4.66s: read sectors failed, sense 3:2:0
4.66s: tries 0 retry 2238804 to 2238805
4.66s: read error 2238804 to 2238805, max 2240896, io->read_error 0

I believe v6.8.5.0 should be able to handle this disc but try updating to the latest AnyDVD beta version. I that it definitely can.

AnyDVD 6.8.5.8 beta: http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=49340.

If you still have a problem after updating then I'd try getting an exchange for that particular DVD.

Patched to beta version.

Creating the image now. Looks like it resolved the issue.

Thanks!!

backing up blitz

probably has to do with the disc., have backed up Blitz successfully using 6.8.5.0 with no problems. do not need the beta versions, however may with Thor. A lot of the problems are with the user, and/or hdw configs.
