Today my computer will not copy anything.

I tried 4 different discs 2 of them are copies.

the error is E:/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB 30 TCSectorReader

I am thinking I need a new dvd burner since it is getting old(3 years of heavy burning)

but what do you make of it.

oh and it stopped burning DL discs a long time ago.
thanks.

You aren't giving much information.

I believe the error you are getting is a read error but I don't believe you copied the whole error message.

Make sure you are using the latest verisons of the software

AnyDVD 6.5.1.8: http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html
CloneDVD 2.9.2.0: http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html

Please provide more information.

Post AnyDVD logs:

  1. Ensure AnyDVD is running.
  2. Put the problematic original movie DVD in your burner. Wait for AnyDVD to scan the disc.
  3. Right click the red fox icon on your toolbar.
  4. Select "Create Logfile".
  5. Wait for AnyDVD to create a log file.
  6. A pop-up screen will appear. Take note of the location where AnyDVD created the logfile and the logfile's name. Click "OK".
  7. Windows Explorer will open, and you will see a ZIP file called "AnyDVD_Info_titleofmydisc.zip" (or something similar; see step f).
  8. When replying or posting in the SlySoft forums, look for the icon that looks like
    attach.gif
(in other words, look for the paperclip after clicking "quote" or when creating a new thread).
  9. If you don't see that paperclip icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
  10. A small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't, please ensure your browser is configured to allow pop-ups from the SlySoft forum).
  11. Click the "Browse" button and locate and select the ZIP file you created.
  12. Click "upload".
  13. Close the window. When you submit reply, or submit a new thread, the ZIP file will be attached automatically for us to take a look at.

Post CloneDVD logs:

attachment.php

  1. In the white area under the tab labelled "Log", right click and select "save as".
  2. Select where you want to save the log, and then save it.
  3. The log will be a .txt file. Zip it up using Winzip or another program. If the text file is small enough, you should be able to upload it anyway. Otherwise, use Winzip.
  4. When replying or posting in the Slysoft forums, look for the icon that looks like
    attach.gif
(in other words, look for the paperclip after clicking "quote" or when creating a new thread)
  5. If you don't see that paperclip icon, click the "go advanced" button. You should see that icon now. Click the paperclip.
  6. A small pop-up screen should appear (if it doesn't please ensure your browser is enabled to allow pop-ups from the Slysoft forums)
  7. Click the "Browse" button, and locate and select the .zip file (or .txt file) that you created.
  8. click "upload"
  9. Close the window. When you submit reply, or submit a new thread, the .zip file will be attached automatically for us to take a look at

From looking at your logs I see two problematic filters installed which can cause read errors. I strongly advise removing the filters.

drvmcdb (system32\drivers\drvmcdb.sys), Version: 3.22.3.0 (1.0.0.1)
Company: Sonic Solutions
Copyright: Copyright © Sonic Solutions
Description: Device Driver
FileVersion: 3.22.03a

sscdbhk5 (system32\drivers\sscdbhk5.sys), Version: 1.10.87.0 (1.0.0.1)
Company: Sonic Solutions
Copyright: Copyright © 2004 Sonic Solutions
Description: Shared Driver Component
FileVersion: 1.10.87a

Remove the filters.

  1. Create a backup of your registry. Refer here for how to do so: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756
  2. Download ImgBurn (freeware) here: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download.
  3. Start ImgBurn and go to Tools > Filter Driver Load Order....
  4. Select "drvmcdb". Click Remove Selected Filter. Click OK.
  5. Select "sscdbhk5". Click Remove Selected Filter. Click OK.
  6. Reboot

Whatever programs installed those filters may no longer work properly. If you reinstall the software that installed the filters then the filter will be installed on your system again. I do not recommend doing this.

Once you have rebooted try again and create and post new log files, please.

perfect, I removed the programs entirely along with some others and the program works perfectly now.

thanks a million
