recommendations for DVD BD drive

Hi,

my girl wants me to copy her dvd collection to hard disk. So I have an estimated amount of 1000 DVD's to copy. Therefore I'm for the most decent and "copy friendly" DVD or BD ROM or burner.

I'd really appreciate your help!

Ya can't go wrong with LG drives. I'm using 3 of em. That being said, the drive has no control over being "copy friendly". That's the disc's problem on wich protection(s) is(are) used and how heavy, if there are read errors on the disc, ... (just because a disc plays fine does not mean it's fine for ripping)
