reclock always reports as 1080i

hi all i am new to use reclock and i have a quick question and maybe someone can help me

i have all my movies on MKV they are a blue-ray rip video and HD audio, i also use mpc-hd as my player via media center and media browser, i use win7 x64, nvidia 460 and i7 cpu, now when i play mkv on mpc reclock load and everything play fine i have no problem video is in syn and audio also

here is my question if my mkv are bd rip and i know they are 1080p, why reclock always say "video stream 1920x1080i"? the mkv is 1080p

forgot to mention my TV is a pionner kuro plasma, if this make any diferent
