I had to enable speed control last night to rip a nasty disk. This morning I didn't disable speed control but rather set it to "drive default".
Then a strange thing happened. AnyDVD would scan and report on the disk inserted into my 2nd optical drive, but not pass it on to windows who saw it as as empty drive (no disk). My 1st drive was OK.
I went back and disabled speed control, rebooted - and all was normal again.
I made no attemt to duplicate it.
