Playlist confusion

I have been trying to backup ‘Taken 3’ (UK version) but am having problems with the playlist options indicated by alternative software processes.

The film has two types of feature; ‘Theatrical’ with a run time of 1:48 and ‘Unrated’ with a run time of 1:55

AnyDVD HD status does not show a playlist.

CloneBD 1.0.5.3 (Partial Copy) offers four ‘Main Feature’ alternatives;
The feature types can be assessed by run time and are as follows
#1 00853 - Unrated
#2 00852 - Unrated
#3 00851 - Theatrical
#4 00850 - Theatrical

The difference between #1 and #2 appears to be the range of audio and subtitles offered and the same for #3 and #4.

BD Rebuilder (Movie Only) selects playlist 00800 (run time 1:48)

MP-HC selects playlist 00802 (run time 1:55) for the player.

Seeing the difference between the three processes, is there a method for attaining the correct playlist and does it correspond with what is offered by CloneBD?

All those tools/players are really just guessing, they don't really 100% know the correct playlist.
CloneBD is usually smarter than most (not always though)

The only way to be 100% sure is to play the full disc in PowerDVD with Procmon running to reveal the playlist used.
You can watch the first video in this thread as a guide.

In the most cases though the playlists are the same or very similar (minor audio/subtitle/chapter differences) but they will probably still work fine.
