I have everything in the "Video Blu-ray" section checked except for the simulate 3D display one but when put in a disc this is the status

Media is AACS protected!
AACS MKB version 68
Drive supports bus encryption!
Removed AACS copy protection!
Determined region(s): A
Blu-ray standard region lock adjusted to Region A!
Removed annoying trailers!
Removed annoying video sequences!
Removed UOPs!
Bad sector protection not found.

Does this mean the region got locked to A rather than get removed? I'm not sure how to read the log file but I can create on and attach it if needed

No, it correctly means anydvd removed the region. It determined the disc was from region A, therefor making some changes in the disc's code to make it THINK that it's always playing in a region A player (even if it's in a region B or C player), which essentially removes the region lock and makes it region free.
