For extra credit - can you post a logfile from the working version of AnyDVD as well?

-W

good idea, but cant remember which version working...
if i have time will test older versions :)

more info needed

A screen shot of these "read" errors would be very helpful.
There is nothing in the log that tells me anything went wrong.

a. Press and hold ALT. Press the PRINT / PrntSrn key on your keyboard
- on some laptops you may need to press "Fn" + "Print" keys.
b. Release the keys and open start > all programs > accessories > Paint (not Word or anything else)
c. Click "edit" and "paste". This will pull the image into the frame.
d. In the file dialog select "JPG" as the file type, click "file", "save as" and give the file the name "error".
e. Please attach that image to your reply.

hi frank thank you for reply :)

i know how i can get a screenshot :D , i'm not home but maybe you can help w/o a screenshot...

i have used a 2nd computer and here is the same problem. anydvd xx02 work fine, with newer i get read errors.

the read errors start @sector 3914272-xxxx with CCD (i have stop the dumping)
anydvd show me an error msg too "read error sector xxxxx-xxxxx"

do you need still a screenshot?

by the way i like to send a log from 6802 but i cant find my exe file, maybe someone can upload this version

An "ok" log would be very helpful

There is no xx02 version that I can find. In fact, the change log does not show that either.

The status data is not helpful as it is not error information.

http://oldapps.com/AnyDVD.php will get you an older version you need to do this DVD (as you say). Then we'd like to see a log from the version that works.

Maybe 6800?

Please rip to folder, not to .iso. Do you still get read errors when ripping to folder?

with xx02 i mean AnyDVD 6.8.0.2!
not tested yet, but i will when i'm home (rip to folder) and then i post the logfile too

you think its a bad disc right?

with AnyDVD 6.8.0.2 i can rip to iso and folder without read errors!

Please just do as James asked and report the results rather than not and making assumptions.

Send me your e-mail address and I will be happy to e-mail it to you. BTW, 6.8.0.2 / 6.8.0.3 / 6.8.0.4 / 6.8.0.8 were all "beta" versions. These are the only xx.0x versions that I have.

funny, i give you this infos 3 days ago but can't find my posting

by the where there is now a second movie with this errors!
(davinci code sakrileg extended)
ok here again:

AnyDVD rip to Folder... OK
AnyDVD rip to ISO... read error 95% (both drives/pc's)
AnyDVD+CCD to ISO... read error 95% (both drives/pc's)
passkey+CCD to ISO... ok (both drives/pc's)
fab dvd 1:1 clone... ok

davinci i have try with all anydvd releases since 6.8.0.10!

Well it appears it works when you rip to folder using AnyDVD which is how you're meant to do it when using AnyDVD on it's own. The rip to image option is for Blu-ray and HD DVD's.

Which 1:1 did you use in DVDFab as they have 2 ways of doing it. One where it makes a 'Real' ISO and one where it basically builds an ISO from files/folders

The rip to image option is for Blu-ray and HD DVD's.

sure, but you can use it for dvd too!
if anydvd decrypt the disc properly you can use rip2iso without any errors,
the same rule for clonecd.

never had a problem with clonecd+anydvd (burn to iso)

Including 6.8.5.0 ??
Are you sure?
There was a relevant fix in that version.

If AnyDVD + CCD gives him a read error but rip to folder doesn't, then there's a problem. A 1:1 backup is supposed to be possible with AnyDVD + CCD, even on discs with structural protection.

yes 100% sure.

i start my tests with 68010 and after every try i uninstall anydvd and reinstall the application CLEAN.
in all versions incl. 6850 i get the read errors on 2 different PC's and drives

do you need a log again from 6850 within?
