I just had a thought......

Assuming a DVD5

If an 8X DVD burn takes about 7.5 minutes....

And a 4X DVD burn takes about 15 minutes....

And a 1X burn used to take almost an hour....

And if we can agree that (on the averge) a DVD5 will hold a 2 hour movie assuming an "average" bitrate.

Does that mean that a DVD actually PLAYS at 1/2 X ???

No. The burn rate and the play back rate are two totally different things.
 
Linx05 is correct 1X is the playback rate. :doh:
 
Ok... but is the 1X playback rate half the RPM of the 1X burn rate?
