I ripped a DVD title to an .iso image on my hard drive using AnyDVD HD 7.0.2.0 and CloneDVD2 2.9.3.0. to play through Virtual CloneDrive 5.4.5.0 & My Movies Windows Media Center. My Movies sees the title in Collection Management and My Movies Windows Media Center also sees the title.

However, when I click on it to play I get a pop up that says: "Burn CD or DVD" which eventually goes away but the movie never plays.

Also, I could be mistaking but I believe that if I double click on the .iso file it should start playing in Virtual CloneDrive? It doesn't.

Any suggestions?

Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

Virtual Clone Drive is not a player. The ISO will be mounted and appear as a 'Virtual Drive' on your PC. You play from this drive with your favourite player. It sounds like .ISO is not associated with VCD. This is a Windows issue, uninstalling and reinstalling VCD should cure that.

I uninstalled Virtual CloneDrive and rebooted the computer. Then re-installed Virtual CloneDrive and rebooted again. The same thing is happening.

Infact.... now My Movies Collection Manager doesn't see the .iso file at all. When I check the file by right clicking on it, it shows that it is unmounted. Even after I tell it to mount the file My Movies Collection Manager now still does not see the title after uninstalling and re-installing VCD.

When you mount the ISO file using VCD, does Windows "see" the image as a disc?

Did you mount the. Iso in VCD? Because its not realy clear for me if u try to open the. Iso with ur mediaplayer.
Did you try to open the file with another programm?
How big is the. Iso file?

He's already stated that he's tried to mount the ISO but it doesn't mount, this usually points to a corrupt ISO file

Where exactly?

Try open Iso with IsoBuster. Than u know if its ok or corrupt.

If it won't mount in VCD then it means it's an invalid ISO, there's no need to install Isobuster, the fact that VCD won't mount it means it's not valid.

Nothing mentioned about mounted in vcd.
Only that he clicks the file and it shows unmounted...

you mean apart from the bit where he tells it to mount the file. My movies doesn't have any options to mount a file so by right clicking on the file and telling it to mount it he's using VCD
