I have searched but not seen anything regarding this so far.

Vista X64/Anydvd cannot see Ironman no matter what I do. All I get is "AnyDVD is disabled for Drive I"

I put another BD in and it works fine. I have the latest update (beta 6.4.7.1) but still wont work. I cannot even get it to create a log file.

Help! Do I have a bad disk or is it a software problem?

Using an LG GGC-H20L running 1.03

Update... Disc plays fine on PS3.

I have had problems like this myself in the past.

I am pretty sure the fix is update the firmware for your player.

It would be nice if the error was more like " dont like your drives firmware " :)

Let us know how you get on.

14. Anydvd can't see or detect my disc (or my drives can read cds and not dvds or vice versa). What should I do?

a) Keep your license key file backed up safely
b) Uninstall Anydvd (start-->all programs-->Slysoft--->Anydvd-->Uninstall)
c) Reboot
d) Check to see if your system ("my computer") now reports a disc in drive. Do you see a proper disc structure? Do you see folders or files?

If the answer is "no" to "d)", then Anydvd isn't your problem. As Anydvd is not on your system, Anydvd can't interfere or block the reading process. Possibly your reader or burner is slowing dying, the original disc is bad, or a number of other possibilities exist as well (including messed up ide/sata busdrivers, bad cable on the back of the drive, etc.)

If the answer is "yes", click http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=9061 and follow the steps (note that step 4 requires you to post information)

when you inserted iron man into the drive anydvd has a message saying there is a critical update for this movie, do you want to download? did you hit yes if not youll have a problem with the movie

I removed Anydvd and ran CCleaner to get any stuck reg keys. Rebooted

The disc still would not show up in Vista after Anydvd was gone. I am blaming this on my drive (to a degree). It has the latest firmware out there (1.03) that I know of and works fine with every other disc I have put in except this one.

I stuck my copy of "When we left earth" in and it picked it right up and started making an ISO.

I am partially ruling out the disc because it plays fine in my PS3. Guess I can get another copy of it and see if it has the same problem.

No. It didnt prompt me to install an update to anydvd. The entire computer acts like the disc is not in there.

One weird thing I noticed was this was the lightest BD I have ever picked up. It felt like it was 1/2 the weight of a normal disc.

Bad original disc even if it plays fine or slowly dying drive

No. Simply because a disc plays fine doesn't mean it is fine

I would lean towards a bad original disc.

Just a quick update.

Looks like I had a bad disc. I just got a new copy and my system immediately picked the disc up and downloaded the anydvd update. Now ripping and there does not seem to be a problem.

Thanks for the suggestions.
