Release Notes:

Neowin: Intel releases new graphics drivers for Windows 10 with game optimisations

Surprisingly, the release downgrades the audio drivers from version 10.25.00.10 in the driver update at the end of August to version 10.25.00.9. As we reported last week, some of Intel's audio drivers (versions 10.25.0.3 through 10.25.0.8) were causing issues for users trying to install the October 2018 Update for Windows 10. The fixes for that problem were contained in the 10.25.00.10 release, so the downgrade is perplexing.

As a result, among the potential problems with the release is the possibility that the drivers may not play that well with Windows 10's October 2018 Update. For the time being, the update has been pulled from public release and is only being flighted to Windows Insiders, so hopefully, not too many people will be affected.

When I installed the update it showed that the audio driver being installed was version 10.26.0.1.

In the release notes the release date shows October 5, 2018. The Intel driver download page shows October 9, 2018. So either Neowin made a mistake or Intel silently updated the release.
