How does AnyDVDHD know the volume label of a BluRay and Windows doesn't?

All (many? several?) of my BluRay discs show a volume label of LOGICAL_VOLUME_ID in Windows, and yet AnyDVDHD shows a different label, THE_FIFTH_ELEMENT or XXX or whatever, in the Status window and in the ripper.

Drive is a Pioneer, well...

PIONEER BD-ROMBDC-202 1.01 07/05/15PIONEER

AnyDVDHD is AnyDVD 6.3.1.5.

It interferes with my automated script to import the discs into my DVD database, and besides, it just bugs me .

So, how does AnyDVD get it, and is there a way I can get it from AnyDVD besides screenscraping the Status window?
