I always leave ANY DVD running in the background. I have found that with the current release 6.2.0.1 running on Win 98 SE, discs authored with PC program Winavi Convertor & also discs authored on my standalone set top Pioneer recorder are freezing Any DVD. However, dvd's authored on Nero Vision 6 are NOT causing this problem.
This is new behavior; I've never seen it with older versions of ANY DVD. When I insert the disc, Any DVD reads it & brings up the window to select jumping directly to the movie or not. Whichever I choose, it then freezes. This does not happen with all burned dvdr's, only Winavi Convertor authored & set top authored. The dvd's play fine if I shut down any dvd.
I'm aware that this is partially addressed in the faq; but for me this is new behavior with the current version so I chose to mention it. Not the end of the world, but a bit of a pain.
