I tired to go widescreen, but now Ill try 4:3...if Im not back Im to frustrated to report results today.

I really want to use this program but wont pay for it if this is what happens...I AM using the trial. Also, I have tried all the sticky's to get it to work.

***I am using an HP laptop...is there a process I should terminate? No PwerDVD or anything running either.***

LOL I bought a lifetime license so, I have all my life to wait they fix it

I get the same type of error on 1 out of 20 DVDs. Every now and then, one of my DVDs will kick this error. Some are older disks and some are brand new. There are no visible bad surface areas so I am not sure what's up. The movie plays just fine from a DVD player.

I won't bother posting the details of my errors but they are the same as the ones above. Hopefully we can get some kind of official response on this.

Today support sent me a link to download and install v1.7.1.2 and asked that I try to copy again. But I still received the same error. Slysoft needs to take a closer look at this issue!

So I received a reply from support:

Subject: Re: [Ticket#2011010746484] CloneDVD mobile Support (en)

Dear Phunkeydude,

Thank you for your reply.

Just for comparison, try it with the "Generic (DivX)" profile. Does that work?
If not, does the error message change?

Kind regards,
Chris Gonzales

Greetings, I finally got tired of trying to figure this out for myself and started looking around on the forums when I ran into this thread which seems to be the same issue that I am experiencing. Although it seems that I am experiencing this error when trying to convert to the "Generic MPEG-2 Pass-Through" profile. I have tested and successfully converted my DVD to an *.avi using the "Generic (DivX) option so I would think it has something to do with this specific profile.

Any help that you all could provide would be very appreciated.

Same here, have converted 40 or so DVD's with the Ipad profile then it fails on 3 Episodes of the same disk. The first epsiode converts fine but eps 2 to 4 fail. Tried ripping with AnyDVD direct, using DVD Shrink and from the original DVD - all the same.

I was having the same problem on windows 7. So I went to CloneDVDMobile in the start menu and right clicked, properties, Compatibility, and selected Windows SP3 as that is the system I ran it on before. Now it works!! Hope this helps anyone with this problem.

Filed a problem report a month ago and no response!! Any idea or suggestion for a fix?

Well its been well over a month since I last heard from support on this issue and have not seen any new betas to try.

Dear Tom,

Thank you for your reply.

We will have to mix old code with new code. Unfortunately, this is more
complicated than to simply improve the existing code. Please check our forum
the from time to time for another beta (e.g. a version later than 1.7.1.2):

Open a ticket - you're waiting for a bus that's not going to show up

I see that text now in some tickets also.

I'd appreciate it if you'd use the latest beta and then present an attachment of the txt files with the log and trans-coder content - not pasted flat into a ticket.
I can better manage your problem there than here. Do this for me now and I'll personally get the developer's attention.

It's been said here countless times and I'll repeat it again.

This is a USER forum and will mostly handle usability issues and things already known. Problems like this in mobile will NEVER get fixed here and neither support people nor developers are here on a regular basis. We have enough on our plates with support tickets. If you do not get a solution here it makes little sense to either wait or complain that nothing is getting done.

A new beta is coming within the next two weeks so please present your log data now so it can be picked up by then.

Fast path to action:

1. visit http://www.slysoft.com/contact.html,

2. Select "Technical Support Clonedvdmobile" from the dropdown list

3. Click the "continue" button. Fill out the form, be sure to include the name of the DVD and send it.

Thanks.

I've looked for this in Support w/ your email address on a ticket and I do not find it.

Please open a Support ticket for CloneDVD mobile and attach the content of the LOG panel as a TXT file. A log from AnyDVD would also be helpful.

I am closing this thread as it has low visibility and no user can solve these issues.
