I want to play this DVD via VLC player
but VLC player stop playback after I clicked play immediately
It seems the DVD have some kind of protection that AnyDVD HD fail to "unlock" it

AnyDVD HD 8.1.0.0
Licensed until: Forever

https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product...s=SNIS816&qid=1489586588&redirect=true&sr=8-1

My ultimate goal:
1. rip it into ISO (keep protection)
2. mount ISO and play it / convert to other format

Thank you for your help ;)

Try exiting out of AnyDVD (right click on the fox icon down by the clock and choose 'exit') then set the drive region in Windows, and if it still doesn't work post up another logfile, although according to the log the disc has no CSS encryption so not sure if AnyDVD can do anything

Thank you very much

Due to driver region only can change 5 times
I searched for other solution
As a result, I found problem is in VLC not AnyDVD HD
because I can play the DVD using Power DVD

But for some discs it's necessary to set the drive region to something. At the moment your drive region isn't set to anything. You should only need to set it once to ensure proper decryption on all discs.

It's not an VLC problem. Due to an unset region AnyDVD cannot properly decode the CSS on the disc, which can affect playback. Especially with a player that isn't a real DVD player.

You will sooner or later encounter ripping problems for DVD's with AnyDVD if you leave the region unset. If you then come back here for support, the first thing we'll ask you to do is set the drive region. Until that's done, we can't proceed because AnyDVD can't do its job correctly.

Well according to the logfile the disc has no CSS encryption

This is the "japanese porn" protection, which AnyDVD cannot handle at the moment.
