external or upgraded internal with new notebook?

hello, i am getting a new latitude 830 notebook. i have a brand new external LG dvd burner and i was wondering if i should keep my external burner or have my new notebook upgraded to have an internal dvd burner drive. any help would be great.

I would suggest upgrading to the internal. You can always use your external as a second drive or for a backup drive.
Internal drives are a lot handier to use and will perform better than an external drive.
