I have only recently seen this happen. My license currently only goes to 7.6.9.5.

The DVD processes, and I do a file copy to a folder.
One came out as 16Gb, another 24Gb, and the third was 75Gb... lol

The first one I looked at has 4 episodes on it, and has 16 sets of VOB files.. it appears to be duplicating each set of files, 4 times.

Is this something that I just have to deal with? Corrected in newer copies of AnyDVD? I can't test the newer version as a trial license I put in a month ago expired.

Example set of files that copied out:

Which totals
24.1Gb
25,984,061,440

It does play ok.
I tried renaming the second vob file set to .off, the episode started playing ok but after 10 ish minutes it abruptly returned to the DVD menu.

ISO instead? I want it to be decrypted, I don't know how to make the ISO and decrypt it at the same time.

Providing an AnyDVD log file of the disc might be helpful as to why the disk output is bloating up.

Possibly because the disc isn't being properly decrypted by SlySoft AnyDVD.
I have only recently seen this happen. My license currently only goes to 7.6.9.5.
You should consider paying to get an updated RedFox license. It will handle newer DVDs and Blurays.

CloneDVD will take AnyDVD decrypted discs and produce ISO or file/folder output.

The disc probably has structural protection on it. If so, you need to use AnyDVD to rip the disc. Right-click the Fox icon in the Hidden Icons (by the clock) and select "Rip Video Disc to Harddisk".

If after doing that you have the same results, you probably need a newer version of AnyDVD that will remove those protections.

I figured it out.

I was just using windows Explorer to copy the dvd contents out after AnyDVD would finish the processing.

Using AnyDVD Ripper, it does the same thing but doesn't create excess data that the plain file copy did. I've done maybe 10 ish other DVD's and all of those were fine using Explorer to copy the files... But this is working better and likely how I should have been doing them all along.

Yes, for any DVD discs AnD returns as having some kind of structural protection on them, you really need to use the Ripper for those. Avoid the ISO creation function, as well. While you can, as you've seen, get away with just a File/Windows Explorer copy while AnD is resident, it isn't guaranteed. In fact, ripping to ISO can work, too, but is not recommended. I never had a problem until I came across 2 discs that required the Ripper to properly decrypt. Ever since then, I've always used the Ripper. If I need an ISO, I'll use ImgBurn to make one of the decrypted VIDEO_TS and just add any extra files or folders that might be on the disc.

That's true. I hadn't thought of that because I don't use that software, but CloneDVD2 does work. So do other competitors, too, probably, but I won't mention those. ;)

AnyDVD and CloneDVD are designed(?) to work together. AnyDVD decrypts and CloneDVD rips from the decryped disc. AFAIK no other ripper product is designed to do that.

The combo works especially well when there's structural protection.

The "create an ISO" with CloneDVD is a 2-step process. CDVD first rips the DVD to a temp file/folder and then takes that output to create the ISO.

There is menu selection to burn the ripped disc in CDVD.

The only "drawback" for CDVD's burn ability is a personal one....when burning a ripped disc to a blank disc, files/folders or ISO, I prefer to verify the burn was successful. So I burn using ImgBurn. While a failed burn is rare it does happen. DVD and/or Bluray.
