I'm thinking of buying a new computer but I'm just thinking does it really matter what computer you use to record "from disc to disc" i.e. without clonedvd reading the software first?
Does having a higher process speed, higher RAM, better mother board etc mean faster or better copying when using the "Write Existing Data" option? I dont think it does I would have thought the only thing that matters when using this method is the optical drives and the discs but thought i would ask and check. Any comments would be appreciated.

No, provided the optical drives are in DMA mode the CPU has little to do with writing.
