Disc ejects shortly after beginning Rip

Recently, I noticed that many discs will detect properly, but as soon as you begin to rip, the disc is ejected and as expected AnyDVD errors with a Disc Read Error. I've updated to the most recent betas and finally the 8.1 release today, but it still occurs occasionally.

Any Idea why and how to prevent it?
