i was modifying my devices.ini file and i noticed this line on some of the profiles.

useMencoder=1

if the value is changed to 0 instead of 1 will CDVDM use a codec present on my comp or will it just fail?
(if i have divx pro installed and used the generic (divx) profile, would it then use my divx pro codec
instead of mencoders?)
 
CloneDVDMobile is a GUI to the commandline application mencoder.

To change the codec used, say to h.264, then the mencoder command line would need to be changed. This can be done - the device.ini settings for other codecs can be found on this forum.

I would assume that if Slysoft wanted to stop have a different encoding application, they can turn off mencoder and use a different one.
