Hello there Sorry if this thread has all ready been done then When to back up my dvd and this Massage Came up saying Trying to repair defective DVD structure Please Wait And when it Finished that it come up with Error: CloneMap 2 TCE Could any help please
if i copy more than one dvd in a row i always get that message. i copy a dvd no problem.eject the dvd from the laptop drive.then click restart.then insert the next dvd>select the VIDEO_TS folder and the message you mentioned appears. the only way to get around this is to close the program>start clonedvd2>then select VIDEO_TS folder. the program obviously thinks the first dvd is still in the drive and proceeds to try and repair it.
not sure what dla stands for,but i do have some sonic software that was installed on the laptop.the picture shows what i have. it is only a minor inconvenience and not something which will make me uninstall the software as it is what i use for burning home dvd's and putting files onto cd's.
Drive Letter Access is packet writing software (you don't need to uninstall all the sonic software), and you don't need it. I would recommend learning how to use burning software without having to drag and drop files, since packet writing software not only tends to conflict with Anydvd other programs--but also because packet writing tends to be unstable and less secure than using dvd-ram. If you prefer dragging and dropping files (as you would to a floppy), I recommend you invest in a dvd-ram burner (and use dvd-ram) instead. Can you do step 4 from here please?
the drive on my laptop is a built in DVD-RAM Drive (as in the picture that i used on another post a week or two back). i dont use drag and drop to burn cd's-i create a project>import files>then burn a cd. what part of the software do i need to uninstall to remove the packet writing part of it-like i said,i dont drag and drop. help appreciated.
Can you do step 4 from here please? (step 4 requires you to post information; do not delete filters manually) Maybe DLA isn't installed? Doing step 4 should let us know.
Unfortunately, your screenshot cuts off the full list that I need to see (data column isn't wide enough for the lowerfilters). Can you use one of the programs mentioned in step 4 please?

Used by Roxio Easy Media Creator, WinOnCD 6 This is a problem, as it was likely installed by Dragtodisc software. CDR4_XP - Used by Roxio Easy Media Creator, WinOnCD 6, DragtoDisc and DirectCD. This is an issue. Whatever installed it, needs to be uninstalled. Iomega storage drive I'm not sure if that would cause an issue. Used by Pinnacle Studio 9 by Pinnacle systems or VOB Computersysteme GMBH. I'm not sure if that's a problem (probably not). Part of Sonic Burning engine, it's made by prassi/veritas and licensed to Sonic. Comes with Winamp, 1click DivxToDVD and (older versoins of) Digion Audio. Not a problem. In summary, you need to 1. uninstall whatever programs installed Cdralw2k and Cdr4_xp 2. reboot 3. check to ensure cdralw2k and cdr4_xp are no longer listed in your filters
this roxio software came with my external usb freecom dvd writer. i do have iomega dvd wizard and hot-burn pro which came with my external usb iomega dvd writer. i do have Pinnacle Studio 10 Quickstart which came with a usb video capture device. i do have a bit of SONIC software that was preinstalled on the laptop thanks for the info.surely i dont have to uninstall EVERY bit of roxio software? some was also preinstalled on the laptop when i bought it.
No. You probably just need to uninstall dragtodisc (Roxio packet writing software) or directcd (roxio packet writing software). In summary, you need to 1. uninstall whatever programs installed Cdralw2k and Cdr4_xp 2. reboot 3. check to ensure cdralw2k and cdr4_xp are no longer listed in your filters
thanks for the response. my other (very rarely used laptop) DOES have dragtodisc-as there is an option for it under start>all programs>roxio.there is also a desktop icon for it to which links directly to the dvd rom/cd rw drive. but my new pc (the one i'm using now) doesnt have anything listed for dragtodisc. look at the screenshot for everything listed under roxio.maybe it is disguised under a different name perhaps? ps when i installed the roxio software that came with the freecom dvd writer,it didnt give you options to install certain components-you either installed the program or didnt install the program.a lot of the features that were installed are things that i do use. i have just had a look in the roxio folder in the programs files folder.i searched for anything called dragtodisc and it came up with no results.
Well, something installed those two filters. Perhaps if you ran Roxio's uninstall program it will give you an option to remove either directcd or dragtodisc. You could also manually remove those two entries from your filters (in your registry), but keep in mind the software that installed them will no longer function properly.
i just tried this and as i thought, dragtodisc (along with other features i didn't want to upgrade to) WASNT installed under roxio. i also had a look under sonic and found these: again nothing for dragtodisc listed.under add/remove programs you can only repair or remove.you cant choose modify to select items to remove. also dragtodisc for sonic wasnt included with this pc as it is only available as an upgrade-which i didnt want.the screen shot shows this.
Well, you can manually remove those two entries Click Start, Run type regedit Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Current Control Set\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} Then you'd highlight and delete the two entries (cdralw2k.sys and Cdr4_xp) and save your registry. But the associated programs that installed them will no longer function properly. Up to you. Those two filters tend to cause problems.
