Chose a speed higher than disc supports?

Hi!

I have a question.
I have Verbatim Dual Layers that is rated at 2.5x only.

But in CloneDVD2 I accidentally chose 4x. Will CloneDVD2 knows the disc limit and only burn at 2.5x? Or did I just waste a disc =(

Those typically burn fine at 4x anyway. I burn mine with Clonecd at 4x (I don't use Clonedvd with +R DL blank media).
