Can you believe it, 24TB hard drives, Oh MY!!

Nowadays we say:
4TB = 4,000,000,000,000 Bytes.
4TiB = 2^42 Bytes or 4,398,046,511,104 Bytes.

So Windows is wrong, or less unkindly, is using old terminology.

I hate the "i" crap. That's just retcon nonsense. Computers have always using 1024 for a kilobyte. It's not "old terminology." All other capacities inside a computer (RAM, EEPROM, Flash etc.) still use it. Windows isn't wrong. ALL OSes display capacity this way. It's just more natural to using a power of 2 size. It's was the slimy HDD manufacturers that upset the balance for marketing purposes.
