Hello,
So my system can play BR ISO's pretty smoothly when the ISO files are on the actual system drive. However, when I try to play them off a USB external HDD, Every 30 seconds or so, the movie will stutter badly and in the task manager will show the disk at 100% Active Time for about 30 seconds. Then, everything is normal again for another 30 seconds to maybe a minute.. then the stuttering starts again.
In the Resource Monitor, the only file being accessed when the stuttering happens is the actual ISO image. It doesn't matter which ISO I am playing and I've even tried with another USB HDD with same results. Maybe my laptop's USB has a bit of a bottleneck and read-ahead buffering really brings it down to its knees.
