Can AnyDVD open files on your HD, rather than DVD Drawer?

Greetings,

Assuming the files are of the proper format, is there a way to force AnyDVD to open and
perform it's magic on a file stored in the HD rather than a disc in the burner drawer?

I thought that it used be (older version? not sure) it could work with image files (.iso) stored
on the PC or Ext. HD. ??

The only way that can work is with the proper file structure (DVD/BD/CD) mounted in a virtual drive. Anydvd can NOT work for example with a video_ts folder of a DVD thats on a hard drive.
