Burning Blue Ray Discs

OK troops I did a search but found nothing.
What do I need/do to burn blue ray discs?
Do I need different media, (ie) the DVD+R won't work?
Can I burn to a regular disc?
Do I need a different player in my computer?

Looks like I'll need a "heads up" and a tutorial on this new media
