Which is the best dvd blank to use for reading and writing?
 
Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden single ayer. Verbatim's are very available in many retail stores.
For Dual Layer, Verbatim +R

I personally just bought some off brand from tiger direct for 50 cd+r and I have a stash of blanks for dvd only......

I buy either from tiger or amazon.

so far not one bad experience.
