I'm trying to "clone" a DVD but I get all sort of error.

First AnyDVD HD is unable to read the file (dirty disc) then I close that window. After I reopen AnyDVD and the DVD info is there...I don't understand why,

Second when I try to open the DVD with Clone DVD I get a window saying they are trying to rebuild the DVD structure. Then I get 16 files with no audio and also there's no data on any of the files.

Those are brand new DVD straight from the studios (Paramount,Dreamworks, 20th Fox). They are not DVD available in stores so maybe that's why the Protection device is not known (yet).

Any suggestion would help

With info provided it's like going to doctor and saying I am sick. But not any info such as what problem is. To avoid it we need log file for the disc you are having problem with. To create a log file insert the disc which is causing problem and in anydvd tray icon right click and look for option which says create log file. Once done you need to post it here in the forum. Developer need to look at log to see if it is new protection or what next step of action would be.

Should I post the .rar file or one from the folder when I unrar it ?

Thanks for the help.

By default log file is in zip format. Just post it here you are done.

However since you have winrar installed it appear it is rar format but it is zip instead.

To post it here look for "manage attachment" button at bottom of reply click on it and choose zip file to upload to it.

Here's the log file.

For a reason unknown to me I was unable to upload the file with "Attach files" section always got an "Upload of file failed" error.

So I'm posting a mediafire link with the file in it. I hope that is ok.
link removed.

Just to make something clear, I have no intention of sharing this DVD. It's for and personnal use only(back up).

Thanks I really appreciate your help.

That is strange that you can't upload the log file. Anyways I downloaded the log file and after looking at it I am sending private message to developers.

Moved over to the AnyDVD forum as this seems DVD related to me.

As has been mentioned, AnyDVD 6.6.0.8 beta is the newest release.

Media is a DVD.
Booktype: dvd-r (version 5), Layers: 1

A single-layer DVD-R rather than a commercially sold DVD-ROM? We need logs from the original DVD.

Video DVD (or CD) label: Crazy_Heart
Media is not CSS protected.
Video Standard: NTSC
Media is locked to region(s): 1!

No CSS?

Found & removed structural copy protection!
Found & removed invalid cell pieces!
Found & removed bogus title set(s)!
RCE protection not found.
UDF filesystem patched!
Autorun not found on Video DVD.
Found & removed 10 potential bad sector protections!
Emulating RPC-2 drive with region 1!

Given that this is not a log from the original DVD the protections noted aren't very useful. Logs from the original commercially pressed DVD are required.

I don't think having commercially pressed will help here since the move is been out for 4 days. Accroding to following site.

People have access to DVD releases ahead of time quite frequently. There are numerous ways this can occur. One example is a person who either owns or works at a DVD rental store. Some [but not all] DVD releases can arrive weeks before the official release. Some websites sell DVDs before the release date. The official street date doesn't really mean all too much these days.

Numerous protections for new DVDs like Transformers 2 were resolved before the street date with people were logs.

To: DRINKLYEANDDIE

I agree with you, But what is bothering me is it is still playing in threatre let alone be rental chain or similar. It doesn't just fit very well for me at all. Oh well I will ignore this part.

Actually, you are right. Somehow I misread the wording in the first sentence of your post that I replied to. Not sure why I misread it but I did.

Thanks guys for all your help.

I won't be bothering you any further.

It was the log from the original DVD.

Commercially pressed and sold DVDs are not DVD-Rs. They are DVD-ROMs. As Hawk correctly stated, this movie isn't even released to theatres until December 16th, 2009. Even a movie award screener would be a DVD-ROM. This disc obviously has questionable origins.
