Back up Print Artist fails lead out

Ever have those days you want to scream? (everyday?) I've been attempting to back up Print Artist Platinum on a dual layer disk. Tried three different 'faithful' burners, and they all fail on the lead out. I suppose Sierra has some kind of protection CloneCD can't unravel?
