Assistance Requested

A week ago, I began seeing the below error message when re-starting or booting my pc:

"ElbyCheck

ElbyCDIO not running!
ElbyCheck will stop!"

I went to the Elaborate Bytes website and, by downloading the software, tried to remedy this situation. Now, I get the following message:

"ElbyCheck

ElbyCheck has detected, that the Filter Driver RegKill is not installed!

This driver is required for proper operation of software made by Elaborate Bytes. You will need to reinstall the application, which requires the driver RegKill!"

I've tried doing this, to no avail. Can anyone help w/suggestions? Thanks.

The only time I've heard of ElbyCDIO issues are when people are using cracks.


Anyway . . .


a) Keep your license key file backed up safely
b) Uninstall Clonedvd (start-->all programs-->Elaborate Bytes--->Clonedvd2-->Uninstall)
c) Reboot
d) Try running a registry cleaner program at this point like CCleaner
e) Download Clonedvd http://static.slysoft.com/SetupCloneDVD.exe
f) Exit all Slysoft programs (including Anydvd, Clonedvd2, Clonecd, Clonecdtray, Clonedvdmobile, etc.). Check Windows Task Manager if you have to.
g) At this point disable your antivirus and firewall programs
h) Reinstall
i) Reboot
