Anydvd 6.1.6.0 released

Going from 90 down to 6 might look a little disturbing, but it is okay.

I understand. I just like to see approximately how much junk Sony is putting on its releases. :D

Also, it kind of gives me an idea how much `work' Anydvd accomplished. :)

I tried ripping to hard disk but it failed, so im using the new CloneDvd to see if it works

Had my fingers crossed with the new CloneDvd, but it failed. I got this reading after it attemted to repair defective disc...

Navigation Pack 6 0 8 14 VOBU 4 0 8 PictureReader

Ohhhh, only 1 left in stock: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ultimate-Fighting-Championship-Bad-Intentions/dp/B000NRRW8S

Maybe James likes to watch people getting whooped! :D

If anyone has never seen MMA, i suggest u grab urself a copy of any of the ufc's and enjoy. I think its better to watch than a footy match, much more entertaining. Im hoping it gets more mainstream.

Anyway, the bad sectors have decreased with the new release of AnyDvd, so is that a good thing, i dont know. Will have to wait and see.

I have been using and installing new versions of anydvd for years and have never had an issue. Today when trying to upgrade to 6.1.6.0, I am getting the error "Error opening file for writing: c:\program files\slysoft\anydvd\anydvd.exe". At this point I have to abort the installation. I have tried shutting down anydvd, rebooting, nothing helps. I even tried deleting the executable manually and it won't let me telling me it is in use. Any ideas?

Any ideas?

Should anyone experience issues installing Anydvd (most people don't), do this:

1.
a) Keep your license key file backed up safely
b) Uninstall Anydvd (start-->all programs-->Slysoft--->Anydvd-->Uninstall)
c) Reboot
d) Try running a registry cleaner program at this point like CCleaner
e) Download Anydvd http://static.slysoft.com/SetupAnyDVD.exe
f) Exit all Slysoft programs (including Anydvd, Clonedvd2, Clonecd, Clonecdtray, Clonedvdmobile, etc.). Check Windows Task Manager if you have to.
g) At this point disable your antivirus and firewall programs
h) Reinstall
i) Reboot
j) Install your license key (if required) http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=732
k) At this point enable your antivirus and firewall programs

2. If you use Vista, read this

I get the same error when trying to unistall. It leaves the executable out there.

Try killbox (I don't really recommend doing this, but . . .)
Can't you just kill the process from Windows Task Manager?

Then try installing again.

I get the same error when trying to unistall. It leaves the executable out there.

Even though I got the error while uninstalling, after rebooting, the executable was freed up because the deleted registry entries freed it up. I am fine now. Thanks for your help.
