Any DVD not reading Disc

I have used AnyDVD and Clone DVD for years. suddenly anyDVD will not read a disc. I get a message that it is turned off. but I have not turned it off. Icon still running in tray.

thats way too little info. What disc is inserted? Is it a blank? Is the drive checked in preferences? We need way more info then a screenshot like that
 
AnyDVD not reading Disc

I have been reading in the FAQs. The disc I put in my computer was The Town( Netflicks rental). The disc did not appear on the e: drive when I opened my computer. It did open on my laptop when I put it in the drive. So perhaps my DVD burner is dying. What do you think?
 
That's still not enough info. System specs of computer & laptop (mainly the OS)? Anydvd logfile?
 
I've seen that once in a while the past 6 months.

A reboot usually cures it.
