The availability of content is not tied to from where you paid for it, only to where you're watching it.
That's right to a point. I can access and view US content available with basic Prime services.
But I got a message yesterday from Amazon telling me I must have a US based billing address when I tried to buy/rent extra content.

Oh and I even got a Enjoy your trip notification, telling me that the marvelous content available now, might not be available when I get back home due to content availability varies from one country to another.

As far as I'm concern CASE CLOSED, issue is resolved for both Prime and Netflix.

Here's what I learned in the process:
  1. Not all VPNs are equals (https://ipdata.co/) check for VPN/Proxy detection and other "threats"
  2. DNS Leaks matters (https://www.dnsleaktest.com)
