I'm trying to rip Afro Samurai: Resurrection and Afro Samurai Series: Disc 1, they both fail. Resurrection gets 10 seconds in then fails, the Series disc gets 35% in then fails. I have the latest drivers, firmware and am using 6.5.4.4, here are the logs for 'Afro Samurai Series'.

Thanks,
Sam

That typically indicates a bad original disc

PIONEER BD-ROMBDC-202 1.04

That's not the latest firmware version. 1.07 is:

Update your drive's firmware. Still have the same problem?

Then here are your options in order of the likelihood:

1. The original disc is bad even if it plays fine. Exchange it.

2. The disc is dirty. Clean it.

3. Your drive is slowly dying. Try a different drive.

4. The cable on the back of your drive is bad. Exchange it.

Odd I just updated the firmware, maybe the updater silently failed (Or the drive is going south as you mention). Thanks, looks like a trip to frys if some other discs fail too.
