Hello all, am using the trial version of CD Clone. I makes perfect cd copies and i'm thrilled with that. When i try to burn a DVD i put the disc in ( i have both Dysan DVD-R 8x 4.7 & Sony DVD-R 8x 4.7, both fail), the dvd starts to spin in the drive, has 3 pauses and then starts spinning again, it reaches 1% and then after 2:30 or so , the disc is rejected with the OH NO!!! Message.

Any help out there for this ...Please!

1. Update your burner's firmware (if available)

2. Use good quality media (Memorex, Ritek, Princo, Fuji, TDK from Costco, and Maxell that are not made in Japan are not good quality media). Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden Premium, Maxell Plus, and Maxell Broadcast quality are good.
If you use poor quality blank media, then you should expect problems.

3. Try lowering your burn speed (not below 4x; if you have a 16x burner and 16x rated media try writing to it at 12x instead of 16x)
4. If you're using +R, +RW, or +R DL media, change the booktype to "dvd-rom"
http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=476 (step 3)
5. Avoid sticker labels (they tend to cause problems)

With Clonecd, the size of your blank media must be at least as large as the size of your source, and if you're backing up a movie, you need Anydvd running in the background.

If you're using single layer blank media (4.7gb) and backing up a movie, Clonedvd would probably be a better choice.
