    v6.1.6.6 fails to start

I only log on to my pc as the administrator...all 3 programs run fine if I chose to run them as an administrator; that's AnyDVD, CloneDVD, and CloneCD. They will continue to able to be restarted and used without any problems until I reboot. Then I again have to choose to run each program...

Same problems on my Vista Home Premium 32bit OS...and, CloneCD give the error "Unable to load the CloneCD device driver! After installation of CloneCD Windows has to be restarted!" But, I only updated AnyDVD and CloneDVD...there wasn't an update to CloneCD....all three programs appear to have...

Profile and Device Setting Windows do not appear

As usual, I'm dumber than a box of rocks! Thank you once again for your help. Also, I took to heart your advice and experience and purchased Clone CD. I now use Clone CD for +R DL and Clone DVD 2 or the occasional +R. I also agree that all options should be enabled, and, the Help files need...

Profile and Device Setting Windows do not appear

I truely apologize....the Help file shows 5 preset profiles and explains the use of the device window. Are these options only available when you have a source CD inserted? I currently have a source DVD inserted and neither option appears. And, neither option appears if I have no source media...

Profile and Device Setting Windows do not appear

At the risk of making a total fool of my self, I have what is hopefully a simple question. The Help file with Clone CD v5.3.0.1 explains a Profiles windows and a Device Window. I can't seem to find either of those functions. I downloaded the trail version of Clone CD, installed it, purchase...

    Won't Burn DVD -R

Used blank +r, change to DVD-ROM accepted on all 3 types of +R media. Won't let me save as default setting. I'm assuming this is the why behind the question do I need to set the book type each time I burn a DVD. Off to burn a +R and the try to play it on the DVD player that only accepts...

    Won't Burn DVD -R

AnyDVD reports boot type as dvd +r dl. Before you do anything else, please let me make sure it is not me....questions: Do I need a blank media inserted to set the book type? If so, do I need a copy of each of the 3 +R media types to set the book type for each one individually. Will I have to...

    Won't Burn DVD -R

I followed the instructions for using the Nero CD-DVD Speed. I have version 4.7.0.2. All of my screens matched the tutorial. Apparently my drive does allow setting the book type, because the first screen I received showed all 3 types of +R media and the column for new setting automatically...

    Won't Burn DVD -R

Many many thanks to everyone who responded. I have taken to heart all of the suggestions given. I think I will check out CloneCD and see how it handles the -R media and because of how it is suppose to retain the layer breaks on the +R DL media. I do agree that the +R media is the way to go...

    Won't Burn DVD -R

Did you say that you've switched to CloneCD for DVD +R DL media? Why? I haven't checked out CloneCD, because I thought it only applied to music CD's and not movies. Whoa boy and am I lost now......

    Won't Burn DVD -R

I did notice that 1Click DVD Copy Pro has a setting named "Set DVD-R write mode" and the choices are Burn Engine Decides, DAO Packet Writing, or Try SAO First. I had mine set to the default of "Burn Engine Decides." Not that I'm smart enough to know the differences.... Will admin pass this...

    Won't Burn DVD -R

What can I say...the answer was starring me in the face. After making a dozen coasters with the Verbatim DVD -R (4X), media ID MCC01RG20, I remembered that I also had a registered version of 1Click DVD Copy Pro. You guessed it, it worked fine with the Verbatim -R blank media. I guess I just...

    Won't Burn DVD -R

Does Nero Recode work hand in hand with AnyDVD? I have zilch for experience with Nero.....or, would I have to use Clone DVD 2 to create an ISO and then use Nero Recode to write the ISO?

    Won't Burn DVD -R

No browser, no mail, no word processor. I do have the Windows Sidebar and ObjectDock Plus running, but those have been running all along. By the way, I just read on of your post about a bad batch of Verbatim -R media with a serial number beginning with MAP6 or something like that. For the life...

    Won't Burn DVD -R

Just finished testing the use of the Maximum setting....no go. It still hangs up; i.e., there is no activity on the hard disk and no light on the DVD drive. However, the DVD drive is spinning to beat the band. I used Task Manager to break out of Clone DVD 2 and even though it closed, the...

    Won't Burn DVD -R

If Clone DVD 2 adjust things its way, what if I select the write speed of "Maximum?" Maybe setting the speed to 4X specifically instead of using Maximum might be the problem?? If I understand the Maximum choice, it determines the max speed based on the lower of either the media capabilities or...

    Won't Burn DVD -R

For the -R media, I select a write speed of 4.X with every program used to burn data to the DVD. For the DVD +R media, I use a write speed of 6.X per the Verbatim web site, with every program used to burn data to the DVD...
