    Starting with UHD backup

I did rip the 4K disc to a folder with MakeMKV, tried to rip then from that folder to an MKV folder with CloneBD, but it did not function (still beeing copy protected). Only with MakeMKV did I get a MKV folder. Maybe I do miss something, still newbe regarding 4K UHD backups.

    Starting with UHD backup

I tested CloneBD, using it to convert from the folder made by MakeMKV to a MKV file, but it didn´t go (cannot read the file as it is still copy protected). Therefore I had to use MakeMKV again to convert the BluRay folder into a MKV folder.

    Starting with UHD backup

I tried it again without changing anyhing, except using only MakeMVK (no AnyDVD HD). Ripped the BR to HDD and then, again with MakeMKV made a backup in MKV. Worked. Tried to backup from the HDD with CloneBD, not working. Got AnyDVD HD on, trying again from HDD => CloneBD => MKV file. Not workin...

    Starting with UHD backup

Interesting, backup of the Harry Potter 4K-UHD disc is not possible, because unsuported by AnyDVD. Received the next 4K-UHD set (5 movie collection with Daniel Craig, 007), back with AnyDVD + MakeMKV (LibreDrive) + CloneBD to HDD, not possible due to read errors. Tried backup with AnyDVD +...

    Starting with UHD backup

Thank you. I was looking for the Pioneer XD07TUHD (https://www.amazon.de/dp/B081JX8R39/?coliid=I22NO5T9URZULP&colid=EWPULAN0ZPU3&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it), but your option is way cheaper :-) Using the Pioneer (or Verbatim with Pioneer inside) drives, do I have to use / install MakeMKV or can I...

    Starting with UHD backup

Hi there, I do have a life time licence of AnyDVD HD and CloneBD. Using CloneBD to backup to MKV on HD. Backup in ISO or MKV

Thank you for your replies. I do understand, that the way of playing the disc / content is important. Actually, I do not know yet what and how I will use the backup content yet. Up to a certain time ago, I used to copy some of my content to a backup disc so as not to scratch the originals. But...

    Backup in ISO or MKV

Hi, I want to backup my GOT (BR). I own CloneBD, so I could backup in ISo or MKV. Up to now, I went for MKV. Is there any reason to change that, i.e. go for ISO? What are the pro and cons of ISO vs. KKV? Are there any at all? Thank you. PS: not sure where to post this though

    Rip BD to MKV

Thanks Buddy, now I know how to do that  Sadly, my "viewing partners" (Sony Bravia 50W828B & HDD WD Elements) are a bit touchy and do not intend to collaborate  Funny though, that the first try, without the advance usage, did work with really HQ picture (but with the wrong...

    Rip BD to MKV

Hello, I looked movies on my TV (55" Sony) through a player (actually one DVD-player and one BD-player, both Panasonic). Now I´m thinking of going for a HDD though. Problem is, that the TV only takes AVI or MKV, so I will have to rip my DVD´s and BD´s to MKV. I´m already accustomed to...
