I am relaxed :) ... apologies if I appeared otherwise, but suggesting bypassing security is a big issue, especially when people will follow the instructions without knowing the implications of disabling UAC, or for that matter allowing running as Admin (which causes even more probs at start up)...

Dont download 6.1.6.6 if you are a Vista user or have also purchased CloneDVD .. CloneDVD and AnyDVD will fial to start :( See threads for confirmation :(

Thats not a fix, thats a fudge, why should we disable UAC and why should we have to put up with crap at start up if we give it admin status. You fixed it before, fix it now? We cannot be held responsible for FUBAR on dev side, nor should we have to compromise our systems. I am an avid...

Eeek ... Just been catching up, I am also getting the failed to init ElbyCDIO! error on CloneDVD, never even thought to check that even though they were both updated today :(

I would prefer not to escalate the exe to run as admin for three main reasons .. 1. I have never had to do this until now with any previous version 2. I do not like having apps running with all privileges as admin. 3. Running as admin stops the it loading at boot until I click on the dialogue...

After updating to 6.1.6.6 today I rebooted my PC as requested and afterwards AnyDVD failed to start and gave the following dialogue box ... Pressing OK just clears the window, running the program again gives the same error. Uninstalling and reinstalling again does not cure the problem...
