Performance Issue (with ST:EaW)

I am currently running the trial version of Game Jackal and I tested Star Wars: Empire At War (Expansion). Game Jackal works well until you start a game. The game tends to freeze every 1-3 minutes for about 5-10 seconds. The game never freezes when I run the game normally (using cd drive).
I have tested the multi-processor settings hoping it was a issue with running game jackal on one processor and the game on the other.

Please help

I've had this happen with BF2142 as well, I wasn't quite sure what the cause of it was, I think I'll throw my hat in the ring on this one too. Unfortunately since this causes the game to lock up and not crash out, there aren't any crash logs of the event.

To determine if this is a Game Jackal issue, once the game has started alt-tab out of the game and shutdown GJ.

I can't alt-tab out with BF2142 running, it blackens the screen and it then has to be terminated. However, I have launched the game with and without GameJackal running. With it running it froze after an indeterminate amount of time (usually in the span of minutes). Without it running the game runs normally.

Ok... we'll try another test. Open GJ, edit the BF2142 profile and uncheck "Auto stop this profile". Now try the profile again.
