Freezing Problems

I am experiencing freezing on a consisten basis. I am using anydvd. I would appreciate any ideas to figure am I having hardware or software problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your backups are freezing or Anydvd is freezing?

If you are saying your DVD backup has a lot of freezing and is choppy during playback, the usual causes are 1) inferior blank media 2) burning at too high of speed. Software and/or hardware could but generally don't cause these issues as much as the first two issues.
