I'm looking for product-purchase advice. I live in the United States.
I'm interested in finally buying a new DVD player, and I don't know much about the technology out there. I want something that will do many tasks:
Features it must have:
1. Will play DVDs burned on my computer using CloneDVD.
2. Functions as a DVR
3. Will play music CDs burned on my computer using WMP.
4. Has a jack that will accept input from a remote video camera/spycam. I want to connect a camera, and have the DVR turn on when the camera's motion detector trips, then shut off after a controllable period of time.
Nice but not essential:
A. Capable of accepting input directly from my computer. Specifically capable of displaying and recording content that is being streamed to my computer.
B. Carosel style that will hold up to 3 music CDs and/or DVDs
C. Also plays and can record old VHS tapes onto DVD.
D. Is HD compatible so I won't need a converter box.
