So, I've got to format and re-install, which is a good job as I've had a few issues with playback lately.
My spec is:
Motherboard: Asus P5B-E Socket 775 (Rear Connections)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 (2.13Ghz) Socket 775 FSB1066 4MB Cache
Graphics Card: Gigabyte 'Silentpipe II' Fanless NVidia GeForce 8600GT 256MB Dual DVI PCI-E (GV-NX86T256D)
Displays are a Dell 2407WFP (HDCP compatible, via DVI) then a Screenplay 7210 projector (via DVI->HDMI cable, then HDMI->M1-D adaptor, also HDCP compatible).
My plan was to do this, in this order:
Install XP
Install motherboard drivers
Install latest nVidia drivers
Install AnyDVD HD
Install PowerDVD
...with a restart between each. Does that sound like the right idea? And which version of PowerDVD should I go for? I see that lots of people are having trouble at the moment.
Any pointers would be much appreciated.
