All of a sudden, after using AnyDVD for a long time now, when ever AnyDVD is running on my system and I insert a DVD... AnyDVD pops up saying that it is scanning my dvd and it will be available shortly. After about 3 minutes it pops up again and says that the dvd is unreadable. If I close anydvd, my system can read the dvds and or play the dvds with no problem. I uninstalled anydvd and reintsalled an older version...same problem. I uninstalled, rebooted, installed again ...same problem (all versions that I have saved on pc). I can no longer copy any dvds because when anydvd is running, my system cant read dvds. I have WinXP Pro SP2, Pioneer dvd writer and samsung dvd writer and I have tried with a sony usd dvd writer. Please help.

Yes I have read the links under the "problem" posting that relate to this subject and none of those have worked either.

    1) I'm sorry to ask, but are you using a crack? What you're describing may occur when people use cracks.

    2) Disconnect the USB drive.

    3) Try Anydvd 6.3.1.4: click http://sandbox.slysoft.com/beta/SetupAnyDVD6314.exe

    4. i. For XP with ide burners
    Click this

Do what it says to do if you have XP and an ide burner/optical drive.

    5. a) Download imgburn. It's a free program: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
(it's also an excellent program imo)

    b) Go to Tools > Filter Driver Load Order. Click "Clipboard". Then paste the information you pasted into your clipboard into your next post (ctrl-v).

Negative. No cracks. All legal registered software. LOL I do the for XP with ide burners, reboot and I still have the same problems. It only happens when AnyDVD is running on the system. A little over a week ago, I had no problems copying or playing any of my dvds. Now out of nowhere this crap is happening. Anydvd says it can not read dvd. As soon as I right click and close anydvd, I can play or view the dvds.

You didn't install Anydvd 6.3.1.4, which I stated as the third step.

yes I have and no it did not help. In fact it now takes about 5 to 7 minutes for Anydvd to popup with the can not read dvd message now instead of 3 and it is hanging my system just a little bit like a heavy (HEAVY) load on the cpu. Could there be a new windows security update that is causing this? It is strange how it just started out of the blue like this. The only other thing I have is Norton INS 2k7 and I have given Anydvd full permissions and even tried disabling NIS completely for installation and for the reading of dvds. Other than that, Clonedvd2 is it. To be honest I have even reinstalled WinXP Pro sp2c since this started so my machine has a pretty fresh registry. Still once AnyDVD was installed...no see dvds. Turn AnyDVD off and can see dvds. It is looking like I am going to have to dump Anydvd and slysoft and find an alternate solution (if one exists).

Great. A new problem with 6.3.1.3. This version not only won't allow me to read DVDs on my pc either but it continually goes in a loop of popups saying AnyDVD is scanning the disc, the disc you have inserted will be available shortly. then 5 to 7 min later...a can not read this dvd message with a list or possible reasons why. I click ok. about 1 min later it starts the same process all over again. lol. I am loosing my mind. I right click on the Anydvd icon on the toolbar and choose exit and wammo...I can read, browse, or play any dvd that is in any drive.

    1. Click the red fox icon on your toolbar-->click the "default" button. click "ok". Try again.

    2. Click the red fox icon on your toolbar-->navigate to "Program settings". Select "safe mode". Try again

    3. You're using Clonedvd 2.9.1.5, correct?

Unfortunately, something on your system (or a hardware configuration) is conflicting with Anydvd. Without being there to take a look at running processes on your system, I am unable to offer any further suggestions.

Yes I am using the latest Clone dvd software. The weird thing is that I have not installed anything new, software or hardware.

I give up at this time. I just do not get it. Everything else on the pc seems to be running flawlessly. I have simply turned the autostart feature of Anydvd off so that it will not start when windows starts any longer. So long as the software is turned off I, and my kids can watch our dvds. I will uninstall any and all slysoft materials tomorrow and possibly wait until I build my new pc in March to try again. Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately, I am unable to reproduce this issue on three different systems here (two XP 32 bit pro systems and a Vista 64 bit ultimate system), and no one I know of is experiencing this either. That said, I'm not (nor are my friends) using Norton (although I'd be a bit surprised if Norton were causing the conflict). Perhaps others here will offer suggestions.

    Running Norton

I am using Clone DVD 2.9.1.5 and AnyDVD 6.3.1.2. I have XP Pro with
service pack 2. Also am running Norton Systemworks including the current
Norton Antivirus. Everything is working fine on my machine. So those
    shouldn't be conflicting.

The following is what I've been told by a Slysoft support representative.
