My dvd's back ups and originals all of a sudden won't play on wmp could this be a result of an any dvd update? Is anyone else having a problem like this?
I thought it may be a result of updating to wmp11 but I restored the computer to before the update and still no difference.

I suspect that the update to wmp11 then recovery to wmp10 "stomped" on some of your older Codec files that allow ANY DVD to play within wmp. You might try reinstalling wmp10 rather than just relying on the restore actiity to get everything "just right".
