M/S has rejiggered their support for Win 7, and 8.1 on the Skylake platform.
They have a page on their website, that lists by name, the comercially manufactured Skylake platform computers, that qualify for continuing support, till end of life of both of the O/S's.
M/S has not said anything regarding support for home-built rigs that are in the Skylake category.
I have queried them 3 times, specifically asking for a yes or no answer to the home built question.
Twice, their response was to obfuscate, (love that word), point to the published list, and then yammer on about how M/S strives to make our lives more meaningful, and the beauty of switching to Win 10,....yada, yada, yada.
The third inquiry asked for a simple "yes, or no". Their answer was silence.
Does anyone here know of a source of an answer to this question?
I am really curious.
