AnyDVD HD reports sector errors for BDs, but what about DVDs?

I've been watching DVD ripping. It appears that the time remaining moves back and forth even when it has passed the middle of the disc. That behavior prompts me to ask this question.

When AnyDVD HD encounters a DVD error, does it

stop?
skip the bad sector?
attempt to correct, then skip?

Attempt to correct, then stop, if correction fails.

EDIT: It is highly recommended to use elby CloneDVD 2 to rip DVDs.
